Balthazar Bakery
Everything croissant, almond croissant, apple danishes, oh my! Balthazar opened its doors in 1997 and quickly became a New York City staple. The restaurant, New York’s best Brasserie, is mostly known for its steak frites, but a perk for all of us upon this opening was its attention to pastries. “Our philosophy is simple: we use fine ingredients and traditional methods to produce exceptional fare which includes our signature breads and pastries.” All of the toasties at earlybird feature Balthazar's signature sourdough-- the Heritage Wheat.
Doughnut Plant
There's nothing like a Doughnut Plant doughnut! Originating from New Yorks, Lower East Side, Doughnut Plant is an independent bakery built upon generational recipes. "We pride ourselves on originality, using the highest quality all natural ingredients and making everything in-house from scratch — glazes, fillings, jams and toppings — even our sourdough starter." We are proud to able to carry this brand at earlybird. Delivered fresh every Friday make sure to get to the shop early, these bad boys go fast!
The Bakery at earlybird
All of our recipes are inspired by local moms and our own recipes passed down to us through the generations. We use all whole ingredients with no preservatives added which makes everything super fresh! Guest favorites include the pumpkin bread, lemon poppy loaf, the most moist gluten free banana chocolate chip loaf you've ever had. And don't sleep on the blueberry muffin.
